After you have the consultation (for upper blepharoplasty and/or chin implant) how soon after can the surgery be booked? I know this depends on how busy the surgeon is, but I am asking on average. A couple of weeks? A couple of months? Thanks in advance!
Answer: Wait Time for Surgery Thank you for a wonderful question. Since the procedures you mentioned are considered "minor" in nature, it is reasonable to have these performed within a week of consultation assuming your surgeon has availability. So long as you are in good health and have not recently (within the past week or so) taken any blood thinning products (ie aspirin, motrin, anti-inflammatory meds etc.) you should be good to go. Finding a surgeon who performs these types of procedures "in house" may be a better option since finding time to schedule on short notice is usually easier when the surgeon performs procedures under his/her own roof. Of course timing is a consideration when selecting a surgeon, but more important is your comfort level with him/her. Be sure you make a good connection during consultation and have mutual trust.

Answer: The more popular the surgeon, the longer the wait time. How busy is the surgeon who sees you and immediately is able to perform your surgery? Our wait time is typically 4 to 6 months. Occasionally we get cancellations and can accommodate surgery earlier than this. I know that for some, having to wait is a hardship.

Answer: Waiting time for surgery Every practice is different and waiting time is also dependent on the nature and length of the procedure. I can schedule eyelid surgery within a few weeks in my accredited OR. However, for breast reductions, which are performed in hospital, I have a limited amount of OR time and am booked out for months in advance. Waiting time can also be seasonal as well.

Answer: Wait time between consultation and surgery Each office will be different, however in our practice most patients are able to get on our surgery schedule within 3-4 weeks after the consultation.More important than the wait time is finding a surgeon who can give you a natural result, and who has lots of experience with both a blepharoplasty and chin implant procedures
