Would doing another Thigh lift help with the scaring? When I did the initial thigh lift they did not do lipo, they just did the thigh lift which there is a dip on my thigh. Can doing another thigh lift will it correct the problem and fix the scars?
Answer: Your Thigh Lift Scarring Thank you for your question regarding whether a thigh lift revision will correct your current crescent thigh scar lift. There are three issues on your thighs. There is the scar left from your previous thigh lift, the indentation or dip that you mentioned, and the overall appearance of your thighs. I will address each item individually. In terms of your thigh scar vision, this can certainly be accomplished. I would suggest excising your previous thigh scar and re-approximating your tissue. The key is to minimize tension throughout this area. This should be done with multiple layers of sutures and in my opinion, the top layer should be permanent sutures which should be removed in about six weeks. In regards to the indentation or dip, I would suggest a combination of thigh liposuction be combined with perhaps fat grafting to the area of indentation. This should correct for the dip in the thigh region. In regards to the overall appearance of the thighs, I would suggest a revision of your thigh scar and further thigh lifting. The Crescent thigh left is not an optimal surgery for patients with excess skin and fat around the knees. However, you already have the scar and I would suggest a scar vision as well as further thigh lifting. Any areas of dissatisfaction throughout the rest of your thighs would probably be best handled with further thigh liposuction. Good luck. I hope this helps to answer your question regarding what to do with your current thighs after a thigh lift. In conclusion, I would suggest a revision of your thigh scar, revision of thigh lift or thigh plasty, and correction of thigh indentation and irregularities with thigh liposuction and possible fat grafting. Answer: A scar revision can be done followed by proper scar laser treatments to help minimize appearance of scar in the future Our office has many different treatments for scars depending on the depth of atrophy or hypertrophy. Scars require a combination approach using our HI DEF protocol which uses a combination of lasers, topical scar modulation, and RF treatments to pixelate scars, improve contour, reduce hyperpigmentation, and improve the visibility of the scars so that they are no longer visible in ambient light. Everyone has a unique pattern of scarring and we employ our HIDEF technique to improve texture, color, contour, and topography. We often use a combination of treatments that begin with a careful examination to examine the micro texturing of the acne scars. Atrophic scars and indented scars can benefit from injectable fillers such as Radiesse, Sculptra, and Restylane with or without subcision to remove tethered scars and atrophic depression. Hyper-redness in scars can be improved with V beam laser, Excel V, BBL, IPL, and Venus RF to improve the redness and reduce the visibility of deep scars. Fractional Thulium laser and clear & brilliant can also reduce the inflammation and redness of the scar when combined with topical therapy. Fractional lasers such as Fraxel, erbium, and CO2 laser can be combined with radio frequency and also fractional RF to improve textual issues and microtopography. Subcision and TCA cross are also used for deep ice pick scars and narrow valley scars in order to improve the micro texture. Above all, our combination approach with our clinical nurses and board-certified plastic surgeons can improve the quality of your skin by using at home Melarase creams combined with PRP treatments in our office to improve your skin quality and tone. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an experienced team of experts in order to reduce your scarring. Finally, hyperpigmentation of scars can be improved with at-home Melarase AM, Melarase PM, and Melapads to help reduce active PIH and melanin deposition. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Scars Dear Munecachula78, scar prevention begins in the OR during the surgery when I meticulously close wounds in multiple layers in order to reduce tension and reduce scars width. I tape my incisions during the early postoperative period to reduce micromotions of the tissues so the incision can heal earlier. I also use compression garments and later Biocorneum gel.
