after surgeon remove stitches it started to separate now under one breast i have a separation 4 inches wide. also around the nipple is separating, doctor very nice but wants me to go to skin specialist o find out why this is happening. Please help

Breast lifts and breast reductions are associated with skin separation, especially in the T area. Smokers will have a higher complication rate and poorer wound healing. Vitamin deficiencies and steroid use is also associated with wound healing issues. Obviously diabetes and other medical (dermatological) problems are implicated with poor would healing.At this point, good health and proper wound care is necessary for wound closure. Trust your surgeon and go to dermatologist for a second opinion. Once the wound is closed, the resulting scar can be managed with a number of modalities.Best wishes
