Can I undergo liposuction if I am around 80kg and 161 cm?

thanks for your question.  It all depends on what your initial weight was.
Thighs are fairly straight forward to treat.
If you are exercising regularly and eating healthy then you should reduce weight some more.
Best would be to go see a surgeon that can assess you and discuss the options.

if you want liposuction and are larger you can do that but you may not see much of a result. it. would be best to get as much weight loss as posisble first. we do virtual consultations for weight loss and hormonal optimization (see link) and I would suggest starting with that and staging your procedures. first one for reduction and weight loss and  then lose more weight and have the full contouring procedure later.  Best, Dr. Emer.

A healthy BMI is between 15 - 24, the maximum recommended being around 30. If you are above 30, then you are encouraged to lose weight before undergoing surgery. The higher the BMI the higher the chance of complications. You may also want to consider the redundant skin/skin laxity that will result from liposuction. A Skype or FaceTime consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon will help you get an accurate recommendation for your procedure and for pricing.

unfortunately your post is insufficient to make an assessment if Liposuction is appropriate for you or not.Generally speaking overall patient satisfaction with lower extremity Liposuction tends to not be all that great. Certain areas like true saddlebags and inner part of the knee respond beautifully to Liposuction but often the areas that bother women have much more to do with skin laxity and cellulite and they do fat distribution.Consider re-posting his pictures or better yet have some in person consultations.Best, Mats Hagstrom, MD
