Answer: Would I Be Able to Get Laser Lipo If I’m Overweight? Lose Weight With Trainer/Nutritionist Before Going for Liposuction Liposuction is only appropriate for people who are near their ideal weight or are only slightly overweight. If you’re having trouble lowering your BMI, I’d advise you to team up with a trainer and a nutritionist. Making permanent changes to your diet may be all you need to finally lose the weight. Exercise needs to be a lifelong habit, too. Once you are at a healthier BMI, you can consult with a board-certified dermatologist to determine if liposuction would be advisable.

Answer: Liposuction Hello, Liposuction should not be used for weight loss but it is a way to get a jump start on weight loss. Patients should be active and on the right healthy regimen before the procedure. This will make it easier for patients to lose the additional weight after the procedure. Liposuction can take off inches and give you a head start but it should be paired with an active lifestyle and weight loss to get the best results.

Answer: Laser Liposuction Candidate--Body Contouring, Diet, Exercise, Surgery, VASER HI DEF 4D Liposculpture You need to lose weight first before undergoing any cosmetic procedure to get the best outcome. For best results, it is recommended to be at your ideal or stable weight before getting a liposuction procedure. Liposuction is not a weight loss procedure, rather it is for removing problem areas that cannot be removed with weight loss and diet / exercise alone. With skin laxity, a tummy tuck or lifting procedure could be performed at the same time. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a bariatric doctor or dietitian. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: I am overweight. Able to get laser lipo . Thank you for your question. It is not possible to remove significant amount of fat with laser liposuction . But there are options for you. We use the HCG diet in our practice and many have lost 80 lbs or more. Gastric bypass surgery may be an option also. Liposuction is not a weight loss procedure, but a way to help someone who is already in good shape with diet and exercise who wants to improve their appearance. One must have weight stable for a significant amount of time before having liposuction. Fat cells are not benign; they secrete inflammatory cytokines so it’s very important to lose the weight. Please see your primary care doctor or counselor to help you obtain weight loss results.
