I made a mistake with previous question - the distance between the bottom of my nose and the top of my lip is 17 mm - not 13 as I write mistakenly. Will 5 mm lift be enough to create a significant improvement?
Answer: 5mm lip lift You should get a great results with a 4-5mm lip lift procedure. I would recommend that you visit with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to discuss the procedure in more detail.

Answer: Safe lip lifting That's a very important consideration! I feel that 5-6 millimeters of lift would give you a nice result in repose and look natural when you smile. Your surgeon should discuss postoperative laser treatment of the scar with you, which (if necessary) really helps it to hide nicely. I make this option available to all of my patients.Best wishes! Answer: Lip Lift As a general rule, one should never remove more than one-third of the philtral distance between the base of the nose and the lip. A 5mm removal should be sufficient.

Answer: Lip lift and the need to avoid excessive shortening With a lip lift you must be careful how much the upper lip is lifted as the lift obtained is only of the central part of the lip, while the corners remain unchanged. For this reason, if there is excessive central lift, the configuration of the lip changes and can end up with an unattractive rabbit type lip! Reducing your lip to12 mm. is the absolute shortest lip you should consider as the lip appearance has to balance with the face. You would need to have a facelift at the same time, to make the face younger to allow younger lips to look natural. The scars of a well done lip lift incision under the nose heal so well that further improvement is not possible.
