Smoking does not preclude you from having injectable fillers in your facial lines(rhytids). However the smooth texture, skin collagen and elasticity is reduced over time by nicotine use. How deep the laugh lines are determines the amount of filler(HA such as Juvederm or Restylane) needed for full correction and reaching satisfaction. Additionally, skin care would enhance your filler results by adding RetinA, peels or laser resurfacing to your care.I recommend a full facial consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon to determine what best fits your goals in reducing the laugh lines.
Thank you for your question. Proving a photo would be helpful to evaluate you and make an exact recommendation. There are no contraindications for using fillers if you are a smoker. I suggest you seek a highly skilled injector to provide the results you are wanting. Kenneth Hughes MD
Thank you for your question. There are many fillers that are currently available to address deep and fine lines. Smoking does not preclude you from having this type of treatment. I would recommend that you consult with a board certified plastic surgeon's office that offers different types of fillers that would give you options.

Hi @lral9. This is most likely unrelated to the dermal fillers. I recommend to follow up with your primary care doctor. Best of luck, Dr. Nima!
I'm sorry you're unhappy with your final results. I suggest following up with your injector about your concerns. If you're unhappy with your results, the filler can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps.
