Question

I now have a protruding vein. The doctor said it’s just pressure around the vein that should subside within a week or so. I cannot find any information on this. I have had cheek filler before and never experienced anything like this. Not sure if I shoulda do to see him again this morning or wait. The other cheek looks amazing.

There can be swelling after injections, which may be causing the vein protrusion you see. I would wait a full 2 weeks before assessing results. If you're unhappy, you can have the filler dissolved. Hope this helps.

It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. You have swelling, which can last 1-2 weeks after cheek injections and may make this vein more noticeable until it resolves. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Swelling could be evident for up to 2 weeks after getting injections. It is possible that the swelling is causing the vein to be more visible.  I usually recommend to wait a full 2 weeks before assessing your results.  At that point you should follow up with your injector who may be able to provide more filler if needed or dissolve any unwanted filler.
