4 days after lip fillers, top lip is too big, can I partially dissolve instead of dissolving all of it?

It's too soon to tell what your final results will be. You have swelling, which can be asymmetrical, and last 1-2 weeks after lip injections. It is potentially possible to inject small amounts of hyaluronidase to partially dissolve filler.  It can be tricky.  I would definitely wait 2 whole weeks prior to considering it however, because the lips tend to hold on to swelling for a while.  And if you are thinking that you didn't have much swelling last time you got injected, remember that every time is different in terms of swelling.  Make sure you avoid salty foods to minimize swelling over the next few days while you let things settle.  

Swelling can be typical. Icing and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Hello and thank you for your question. It is important to wait up to two weeks for your full results to set in. 4 days post injection, you will still be experiencing the majority of your swelling. If after the two week period you are still unhappy with your results, you may have your filler dissolved using hyaluronidase. Best of luck!

It may be a little too soon to judge your results. Give the lips 1-2 weeks to settle down. You may still be seeing some swelling from the injections. If at 2 weeks you remain unhappy with the result, you could have the filler reversed using hyaluronidase. 

Sp partial dissolving can be done with very small amounts of hylase and multiple visits. I would recommend 10 units over each of 5 injection points to start with and expect that it may need repeating. Hopefully your practitioner is confident and experienced enough to try that. Hope that helps. I inject lip fillers all day in my office and I would definitely recommend that you wait at least two weeks to see the full effect of the treatment.  You may have more swelling this time and it would be a waste to dissolve it.  If after two weeks you are still unhappy I would return to my dermatologist to have the product dissolved.  Best, Dr. Green

Follow up with your injector in the office so that they can evaluate. Just the area that has too much product can be dissolved. 

Do not rush into any final thoughts on your lips. You most likely have swelling. Every injection is its own. I would wait 2 weeks and follow up with your injector. At this appointment discuss your concerns. Yes, one can have a spot or area dissolved with Hylenex.
