Can liposuction cannula scar tissue be removed or broken up?

Question

I had lipo on my stomach and flanks over a year ago and now when i bend to my sides when i stretch, it feels tight and these long line cannula scar appears. When I stand normally you cant see them, but if i lift the skin, there are so many. I'm trying to lose weight and i'm worried when i lose weight, they are going to be very visible. Most of all, they are painful and i want to move my body without pain. Is there a way to fix these?

Hi there and thanks for your question!  I advise my patients to massage the areas of hardness to break up any scar tissue under the skin.  This can take a few months to fully resolve with persistent massage.  Other treatments include velashape, which your surgeon may offer at his/her office.  I suggest following up with your PS for more information.
