Age 23. Do I have pre-jowls?

I am 23, I think I might already have pre-jowls. Does it look like I do? If so, what can I do to prevent them from getting worse/ get rid of them?

I think you have a good jawline and only a minimal amount of excess fullness along the jawline and in the submental region.  Not enough to warrant surgery in my opinion.  Maintain a healthy weight, don't smoke, and use sunscreen.Best wishes

Based upon your photos, you exhibit normal and youthful facial features. The pre-jowl sulcus (valley) is a function of descent of the middle third volume over adherent zones of the face. At your age, there is little likelihood of descent or jowl development so as to accentuate a pre-jowl ridge.If you are unhappy with the transition from one area to the other, this can be addressed via injectable fillers.As always, discuss your concerns with a board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).

Look at your older female relatives to see if they have problems with jowls or not. You cannot change your genetics but you can be preemptive in the aging process. Maintain a healthy weight, don't use cigarettes and avoid prolonged sun exposure.
