Chin lipo and brachioplasty 6 weeks post op, can't tell a difference!! Any suggestions?

Although there still will be some swelling one would anticipate some significant improvement in profile six weeks after liposuction of the chin and neck.

It typically takes 3-6 months to see the final results, but even after the first day you should be able to see a signficaint change in contour.  I would trust your physician and if you are unhappy in the future, see a specialist for a second opinion.  I would do venus legacy treatments to enhance the healing process.  Best, Dr. Emer.

When liposuction is done correctly on patients who are good candidates, good results are typically seen immediately after the procedure. From there, patients will develop a certain amount of swelling that will subside over the next several months.As the swelling goes down, results should only continue to improve.Final results are typically seen around three months after the procedure, though there may be some minor changes for as long as six months.When patients do not see significant improvement, it is typically because either the patient was not a good candidate to start with or the procedure was done incorrectly or insufficiently.These are general statements.It is not possible to give a personal assessment without an examination or, at minimum, reviewing photographs.At six weeks, you still have a significant amount of swelling.A two-inch reduction in arm size is significant, though that is dependent upon what size you were from the start.There are times when patients need revision or further liposuction.While removing less than the ideal amount of fat may not give the ideal results, removing too much can lead to permanent, irreparable disfigurement.Continue following up with your plastic surgeon and share your concerns with him or her.Best of luck, Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
