Usually wrinkles in the neck are superficial and within the skin. Radiesse is normally placed fairly deep under the surface of the skin, so I would not consider it appropriate to treat wrinkles in the skin. There are some other fillers that can be injected more superficially that could potentially help. There are also some non-surgical treatments, such as Fractora or FaceTite that could be of benefit.
FaceTite can internally tighten the skin in the lower face and neck. After all the skin has been heated and contracted, we shape the neck with liposuction to give definition and remove stubborn pockets of fat. In one quick treatment, we can tighten skin, remove fat, and contour the lower face, jawline, and jowls with only a weekend of downtime. Keep in mind that combination approaches will give you a more significant improvement as opposed to a single procedure. I recommend getting a consultation with a board-certified cosmetic dermatologist and facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer
We are doing hyperdilute Radiesse quite frequently in the neck for laxity. It causes collagen and elastin production. We often combine with RF Microneedling, Genius. It can take 2-3 treatments. I use 1 syringe mixed with 6cc or saline/lidocaine mixture. 5 entry points using a cannula. It takes about 3 months to fully appreciate results.
Dilute Radiesse is used effectively for loose skin in the neck. It is a newer technique for the right candidate. Results may be enhanced with skin tightening energy treatments and/or PRP with or without microneedling.
Hello and thank you for your question. Yes a diluted form of Radiesse is being used for loose neck skin and is having great results. The key is to find a very experience injector, who can make all the difference. Best wishes. Dr. T
That is a very timely question - you are right about some dermatologists having good improvement in neck lines and laxity using a new protocol with dilute Radiesse. It would be worth having a consult with an experienced injector and they can help you decide if you are a good candidate for the procedure. Some other options for neck laxity include RF microneedling and other energy devices and lasers. You can also pair injections with energy-based devices for combination treatment that can be give you dramatic improvement. Please see an expert, and best of luck!
Neck lines are best treated with a combination of filler within the crease and botox strategically placed around the line. Radiesse can be effective. It is impossible to remove them entirely, but they can be made less noticeable. Further skin care can be done in the long run to thicken the dermis and minimize the progression of new and existing creases as you get older. If your creases are simply from having too much loose or saggy skin, then a surgical necklift will give you the greatest benefit. Hope this helps!Johnson C. Lee, MD Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon
I have been using both Sculptra and radiesse for over 20 years with a lot of success. Sculptra is a product that expands tissues over time by creating a lattice of collagen tissue around its particles. Radiesse does not have the same qualities as Sculptra. The amount of collagen formation in ...
Hi, I’m surprised with radiesse in the lips....you sure it wasn’t restylane? It is not a product typically used in the lip. For labia majora plumping, that is a treatment I do regularly. You can achieve plumping with fat, HA fillers, collagen fillers, and even Calcium based one such as radie...
