Hi I just came down with a bad sinus infection and I have a surgery for a breast lift and augmentation in 6 days. I read that you shouldn’t have surgery with a sinus infection but my doctor is saying I can. Do you know if it’s safe or are there risks?

Answer: Surgery You need to cancel your surgery now. Once you are completely well in about 6 weeks, then you may reschedule. Please call your surgeon's office.

Answer: RESCHEDULE IF FEVER If there are no other symptoms, a runny or runny nose should not interfere with anesthesia or recovery. A sinus infection, whether viral or bacterial, will cause surgery to be postponed. vAny fever indicates that your body is fighting some type of infection or illness. You will need to reschedule your surgery if you have a fever. It's almost time for surgery, just follow your doctor's instructions. Good luck!
