Would rhinoplasty help my facial harmony? (Photos)

When considering an Asian rhinoplasty, the question of whether it is worth the risk is something that comes down to personal factors, such as how much the nasal appearance bothers you. With an experienced Asian rhinoplasty surgeon, the major risk is not a health of functional one, but the risk that you may not love the shape of your new nose. It's important to evaluate a surgeon's body of work (before and after photos and videos) to determine if his/her aesthetic matches yours.

That being said, based on your photos, some commonly requested changes would be to smooth the bump on your profile, add height to the bridge of your nose especially between your eyes, create more projection and definition to the tip of your nose, and refine the shape of your nostrils.

Hello and thank you for your question and photographs. Although an exam in person is ideal, from your photographs alone it appears that you can potentially benefit from a rhinoplasty where some of the following may be pursued:

(1) Subtle de-rotation of your nasal tip: I typically utilize extended spreader grafts locked into a columellar strut to de-rotate your nose. This streamlines the nose, supporting the dorsal aesthetic lines, and also facilitates nose and tip support to reduce the risk of crookedness, and tip rotation in the future. I also complement these techniques with a nasal tip deprojection locked into the tip complex for further support.

(2) Creation of a tip defining point (or subtle "up-turn"): this can be created with a customized tip graft from fascia, soft cartilage, or both.

(3) Augmentation of your dorsum (or bridge): if desired, this can also be performed with diced cartilage wrapped in mastoid fascia.

Any (or all) of the above is done with the overall goal of always maintaining a natural appearance.

Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photographs, you may benefit from a rhinoplasty. A surgeon can accomplish this by trimming, suturing, and reshaping the cartilage in your lower nose. Fascial grafts may also be used to help improve tip refinement. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.
