Question

Open rhinoplasty almost 6 months ago. Is this an inverted V deformity? Is it severe enough that you would do something about it? I am honestly afraid of trying to fix something and having more complications. Thank you.

Hello,
The inverted v deformity can be corrected with revision rhinoplasty surgical procedure. The revision surgical procedure usually carries a higher risk of complications that the primary surgery. It is better for you to consult with a facial plastic surgeon who can examine you and discuss with you the advantages and risks of the procedure.

Much more information is needed such as a Full set of facial photographs from all angles, and a copy of the operative report to Find out what was accomplished in the first procedure. It's important to know how much cartilage is left over on the inside of the nose for grafting purposes. Also important to wait at least one year before undergoing a revision rhinoplasty to ensure optimum healing first.
