Cheek Filler Numbness 6 months after injection - should I get fillers dissolved?

I had cheek filler 4 months ago. I have recently felt numbness on cheek area and when I press my cheeks on my hands it feels tingly and numb. I’m ver concerned that it’s caused nerves damage. The injector has denied there being an issue. Should I get the fillers dissolved? Do I need medical attention?

It is highly unlikely it has anything to do with the filler.  I would suggest an appt with your PCP.

I hate to say, but your injector should know better. You had an injury to probably the infraorbital nerve with the last injection. The reason you are having the symptoms you are now is that the injury was a partial one where only the central nerve fibers were divided but not the whole nerve. The fibers are growing back but not to the same nerve endings as previously. Dissolving the filler will do nothing for you. What you need is desensitization and sensibility reeducation. This involves constantly stimulating the area and the other cheek and comparing what you feel. If this does not get better relatively soon, see a plastic surgeon who also does hand surgery.
