Would buccal fat removal work to get rid of perioral mounds? (Photos)

Question

I'm in my 50s. Mostly because I was bothered by the sagging around my mouth, I got a deep plane face lift. It was great for other things, but did not fix the mounds of (what appear to be) fat. When I asked about it, the dr said there wasn't any fat there when she did the surgery...but then, what is it? Is it sunken filler? Was she mistaken? Not much is improved if I pull the skin back. And is there anything that will correct it?

There are two things that may be considered: Marionette lines, which need correction with filler, and possibly small jowls, which can be treated by means of conservative liposuction. You may discussed these options with your surgeon. Good luck.

Based on your post photos, the BUCCAL fat pads are not the issue or problem. The problem is facial, aging lax skin loss of elastic tissue. I have obtained good results using the end laser under local anesthesia in that area 12 or three sessions approximately one month apart if needed. Each session $1500. Under local anesthesia. Other options would be to do an anterior mini facelift with or without the end of laser. Best of virtual consult with.
