Thank you for your question. Adding filler to this region is an excellent way to add volume, improving the transition from the lower eyelid to the upper cheek. Based on your photos, you'd be an excellent candidate. The best filler for this area varies depending on doctor preference, but seeking out someone experienced is important, as this region isn't as forgiving as others. I hope this helps, and all the best!-Dr. P
Hi @7882anon! The upper cheek is a major support for the under eyes. I would first begin with addressing the volume loss in the cheeks followed by addressing the tear trough area.
At home peels like cosmelan, enlighten and aerify along with dermarolling (MTS roller with anteage MD ampules) should be started now. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat will such as lower eyelid blepharoplasty with or without fat pad repositioning will be the best long term. There are many things you can do to treat under eye hollows and dark circles without surgery. Non invasive less downtime options such as fillers (Belotero, Juvederm Volbella), lasers (Moxi/Halo/Fraxel/CO2), Renuvion (J-Plasma), microneedling/PRP, stem cells and microneedling RF like Fractora PiXel8 or Morpheus can all help give some improvement. Accutite can often be used or stronger lasers like erbium or co2 spot treatment can tighten the skin and give very quick improvement in wrinkles and texture. A surgical option to remove skin and/or fat might be the best solution long-term. I suggest you get a formal consultation to see what is best for you and your goals. Best, Dr. Emer.
I inject fillers under the eyes very frequently and the vast majority of my patients are pleased with the results. I prefer to use Restylane or occasionally Belotero injected at a deep level using a cannula. Treatment is virtually painless and downtime is minimal. Please see an expert for treatment of this area. I believe that cannulas are better than needles in the under eye area with less risk of bruising or other side effects.Best,Dr. Ort
Yes, from your photos you appear to be a good candidate for under eye fillers. Providers often have preferences based on personal experience with various fillers. I have had success with different fillers and will evaluate each patient individually as well discuss her/his preferences in order to determine a recommendation.
You’re absolutely not a candidate for under eye filler‘s just like the majority of people. The skin in the lower eyelid region is extremely thin and the results will be short of horrible. In my opinion you should have fat grafting instead of fillers. Fat grafting when performed by Plastic surgeon with a great deal of experience in fat grafting techniques, should produce excellent, natural and practically permanent results. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City plastic surgery
YES! you are a great candidate for tear trough HA filler injection. I prefer VolBella in low dosing sessions to slowly build up the amounts needed. Expect fees in the $700-$1,800 ranges.
You have a congenital low attachment of your muscles and a resultant volume deficit. This is easily corrected with filler injected by an expert just on the bone above the muscles and below the orbital ligament. My choice is Juvederm Voluma but Radiesse also works for this. Be careful as the majority of injectors use a lighter filler more superficially and have a significant problem with swelling because of disruption of the lymphatic drainage.

If the filler is hyaluronic acid such as Restylane family, Juvederm or Belotero it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase injections. Once done to your satisfaction you can consider PRP or PRF injections with microneedling for collagen stimulation for skin tightening or more intense skin...
Hi Eliza, That is a good question. With rhinoplasty (nose surgery), thick versus thin skin is a significant consideration when discussing the results of the nose surgery, since the thicker nasal skin tends to hide the good work that was done underneath the skin. Most rhinoplasty surgeons prefer...
