I recently heard about Zeltiq's new Coolsmooth applicator, and was wondering if this device can be used on abs as well as thighs. I have a very slight dent in my abdominals that I would like to rectify and am wondering if the Coolsmooth applicator could help with that. How does this applicator work?

It can be used on other non pinchable areas like the abdomen but you will need to meet with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to determine if your are a good candidate. The CoolSmooth Pro applicator takes 1 hour and 15 minutes and is secured to the treatment area with a foam template and straps. It freezes your fat just like the other applicators do and there is also a post treatment massage. It is best to come in for a consultation to determine if you are a candidate for the treatment and if CoolSculpting can address the dent that you are concerned about.

An assessment would be need to done to see if you are a good candidate also to see if it would improve the appearance of the contour irregularities. Coolsmooth works the same way as the other attachments, the difference is there isn't any suction of the fat, therefore, freezing of the fat takes 2 hours instead of 1.
