Due to the possibility of pain and laxity after the procedure I would take a pass on this one for breast reduction. While it is theoretically possible that it could work, there is just as good a chance that it would lead to issues and cosmetic deformity after the procedure.
CoolSculpting has been used off-label to reduce the prominence of male breasts. I am not aware of reports of use in women. I would personally not recommend CoolSculpting for the reduction of women's breasts at this time.
Treatment of the breast can be done with Coolsculpting, although this is not a FDA approved indication. If the breasts are very firm the fat/ fibrous ratio is low and multiple sessions may be needed. If the breasts are heavy, they may sag after treatment. If the breast are large, liposuction is the treatment of choice. A good breast exam and possible mammogram should be considered.Hope this helps.
I have used CoolSculpting to treat breast fat in men (gynecomastia), but this is considered an off-label use. It possibly might work in women but there is tissue other than fat in the breast which would not be affected, so it is difficult to say how much improvement there might be. Depending on the size of the breast, it might also take multiple treatment sessions to cover the entire area.
Coolsculpting has not received FDA approval to be used on the breasts. It can be used on male breasts for appropriate candidates, but there is no information on women. Consult with 3 board certified plastic surgeons with certified Coolsculpting centers to understand your options. Note: not every facility that has Coolsculpting has completed the certification process.
