60yr F. 2yr post op. Full face, neck & forehead lift. Plz give me your opinion why my face is distorted? What would you do to correct it? Dr R. distort facial expression. I was examined by Dr L. who knows Dr R. Dr L. determined the vectors are off 15 degrees. The reasons why I have the swoosh lateral lines causing the expression distortion. Hello! Your face is distorted after your facelift is a result of the facelift technique done by your surgeon where the work is done primarily by excessive pull on the skin. This creates an unnatural wind swept appearance and is a very typical stigmata of superficial facelift techniques. This can be corrected with a revision facelift surgery using a deep plane technique to elevate and reposition the deeper tissue and release excessive tension on the skin. See my link below.

In my opinion, you need a complete revisionary facelift and neck-lift procedure. The lateral swoop is from too much lateral pull without a unified pull on the deeper tissues in the correct direction. This is a challenging case that should only be done by a very well trained aesthetic plastic surgeon who does facelift surgery. Regardless, these are all my own opinions based on the photos provided. I would recommend seeing a plastic surgeon who has great training and experience in aesthetic surgery.

First of all the whole vector talk is nothing but fancy word speak. Your facelift was pulled in an unnatural direction and it seems that the skin wasn’t released enough. That why you have the swoop. Nothing to do with vectors.  This is straightforward to correct although the entire facelift does need to be redone. I see stuff like this often when redoing a facelift. And I could fix your earlobes too
