I had a tummy tuck w muscle repair Nov 2022 i would like to know if i can have a tt revision because my belly is not flat and because my belly button is sticking out and big. But my skin is very pulled down! Sometimes it still hurts when i lay straight cus it has been stretched to the max. I also had a bbl done april 2023 and i wanna have another bbl for better results w the tt revision at the same time. Is that possible?. Thanks
Answer: Tummy tuck The abdominal contour that concerns you can be related to a few possibilities. If the issue is subcutaneous fat then liposuction should give you improvement. It could be that the muscle repair failed. This would require a revision of the tummy tuck for improvement. It could be visceral fat which is the fat behind the abdominal wall that surrounds your organs. This cannot be improved with a tummy tuck or liposuction, but improves with weight loss. I encourage you to visit with your surgeon to discuss your concerns.

Answer: Tummy tuck revision, BBL revision Dear joana29, A tummy tuck and BBL revision surgery is certainly an option for you. An interesting finding on your photos is that the side view of your BBL shows your tummy to be completely flat, while the side view of your tummy tuck shows some bulging. Sometimes the muscles and their attachments can stretch back out after a tummy tuck over time. This may occur with weight gain, broken internal stitches or other possible causes. The belly button correction issue might be a little more difficult to address, but certainly a revision would be performed. Good luck!

Answer: Tummy tuck result To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of a plastic surgery procedure we generally always need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward the pictures they took. The most common reason patients have a bulging abdomen after a full tummy tuck is due to access, visceral fat. This can often be seen on before pictures, or during an in person assessment during consultation. There are four tissue variables that determine what the abdomen looks like. This is true whether someone has had surgery or not. The four tissue variables are. 1) abdominal skin laxity typically due to previous pregnancies or weight loss.2) subcutaneous fat3) muscle separation from previous pregnancy4) visceral or abdominal fat. Each of these variables can be eliminated or assessed one by one. You obviously obviously no longer have a skin lack issue. You don’t have much subcutaneous fat because of the tummy tuck and liposuction. It is unlikely your muscle tightening failed so the only variable left is excess visceral fat. Weight loss is the only and most appropriate way to improve your outcome. I don’t know what you’re hoping to achieve with a secondary BBL. Your post didn’t really go into any details but I would be careful with continued volume on your bottom. I suggest you follow up with your provider and discuss your concerns with him or her. Assessing the outcome of tummy tuck. Surgery is fairly straightforward and shouldn’t be all that difficult. Individuals who have an issue with excess visceral fat should be told this during in person consultations, so they are aware of what the results will look like, and the necessity to manage postoperative weight or lose weight before the procedure.
