Scalp micropigmentation scar repair with short length hair?

Question

I have a linear & Fue scars. My FUE dr said my scar is not bad at all and that smp would work well for me. I have been wearing my sides long ever since (#5), would having SMP allow me to cut my hair shorter to a #2 or even 1 guard? Or would smp just add density and i would still have to wear my hair long? Are there any examples of smp over scars with short trimmed hair? I just want to get a realistic sense before considering smp. Thank you for your time

gromace:Thank you for your question. We recommend an in person visit to have a close up examination. We find  it is best to test the scar tissue to see how it accepts the pigment. We use only organic pigment from Beauty Medical, it is temporary because it is organic which means it will be metabolized eventually. It should camouflage the scars making it possible to wear the hair a lot shorter

Scalp Micropigmentation SMP results depend on each individual.  You may be able to cut your hair very short but SMP cannot hide the gap where there is no hair growth on the scar.  It is best to see a doctor for an examination and consultation.

SMP would allow you to wear your hair much shorter.  The tattooing, which mimics a follicular unit, works to shade the scar and provide enough contrast to trick the eye.  I think its a great option.

SMP in the scar should give you the ability to wear your hair much shorter.  The scar tissue heals differently than virginal scalp so I recommend you visit with someone who is proficient.  In addition multiple sessions will likely be needed.
