Which would most improve my knees - fat transfer, liposuction, or knee lift? (photos)

Question

I had liposuction done on my entire legs, including above and around the knee. Now my knees sag more. I had fat transfer done to above the knee but it didn't help. Is this because not enough fat was transferred? What will most improve my knees now-more fat transferred, liposuction (with its skin tightening properties), esp to the lower half of the kneecap, or a knee lift to remove excess skin? If a knee lift, where/how long would the scar be? I'd prefer scars over sag.

I find that venus legacy and Sculptra treatments do well in this area if they are sagging post liposuction.  Also, if non energy based liposuction was performed, VASER could be an option to tighten the area.  Best, Dr. Emer.

You post a challenging situation. Fat transfer is limited in its ability to correct overly performed liposuction. This is typically because there is an insufficient base in which to graft the fat. It is important to set realistic expectations when performing this procedure and explain the need for multiple treatments. It's often not a case of simply transferring more fat during a single session. If too much fat is grafted at any one time, the percentage of fat that survives is decreased. As such, it is more successful to perform multiple fat transfers with a conservative or correct amount of fat during each session than to attempt excessive correction with a single procedure. Further liposuction has to obviously be done with great caution.I would steer you away from any type of skin resection or lift procedure. My practice is almost entirely devoted to body sculpting using liposuction and fat transfer. My experience has allowed me to see numerous excellent and, unfortunately, not such excellent outcomes. I've also had the opportunity to learn about the pitfalls and limitations of fat transfer, especially in regards to correcting inappropriately performed liposuction.In your case, I don't think an accurate answer can be given without an in-person consultation.
