Prior to getting breast augmentation, I had very small breasts. I got them done when I was about 21 and I am now 27. Thinking about taking them out but I am worried about the skin being very loose or losing some of my breast tissue in the process of explant. And was hoping a fat transfer would help? I have also gained about 20lbs since my breast augmentation. I was only 100 lbs when getting them done and now I weigh 125. I am hoping my breast tissue is more now.

Answer: Mini Lift with fat transfers In your after photo, you can see your nipples are pointing outward. The technique I recommend is a mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, a small amount of fat transfer can be performed. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: If I get an implant removal, would getting a fat grafting/transfer help with any of the loose skin? Thank you for sharing your question. Based on your age and apparent good skin quality I would expect you to do well with an explant alone. there are additional aesthetic risks depending on amount of capsule removal, if any, so be sure to have a discussion with your surgeon.
