4 months after my BA. I’m 5 feet tall and 10cm frame. I got 220cc (proj. 4cm- 9.75base) motiva implants and feel huge, make me look top heavy and shortens my torso. My surgeon told me he can change the implants for 140cc motiva low profile (proj 2.4cm- base 9.5cm) I’m afraid it will still look big on me so I’m considering to take the implants out, my concern about this is that I end up with saggy skin. I had a little breast tissue before. What would be my best option??
Answer: Downsizing or implant removal? (Photo) The smaller the implant and the less the amount of time it has been since placement, the greater the chance the breasts will return to their preoperative state. The implants can be removed through the same incision and you may consider breast fat transfer as an option rather than implanting the 140cc motiva low profile ones.

Answer: Explant and Mini lift with fat transfer 140 cc implants are not worth having. Instead, I recommend explantation and mini lift. Using a circumareola incision, the implants are removed, your breast tissue is reshaped, elevated higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage. At the same time, fat transfers can be performed for additional volume. Best Wishes, Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Answer: Explant or Exchange? Good afternoon! It really depends on whether you want your original breasts back, or whether you want something halfway between your natural breasts and where you are now. If you choose to explant, I would recommend a complete capsulectomy and explant, and I would place a drain on each side for five days so that no fluid accumulates in the pockets. Then I would have you wear a good compression bra 24/7 for 12 weeks, and it's amazing how the skin can "shrink back down" to your old shape without sagging. With this technique I rarely ever have to perform a lift when explanting, and in those cases I can almost always predict that beforehand.

Answer: Implant size and type Dear healthyguru, breast implant type and sizing selection is a complicated process and requires a detailed consultation that includes a discussion of your goals, a detailed examination, and a lengthy discussion. But the decision will always start and end with the patient. When it comes to sizing, we have all of our patients find 3 photos of their desired breast size. We ask for naked breast photos because clothing can obscure the true size (push up bras). Next, we consult with patients and go over the photos and take detailed breast measurements during a physical exam. Next, we using a sizing algorithm to determine a range of implants that will work based on the exam and the measurements.Lastly, during the operation, we use silicone sizers in the operating room to see how the size actually looks in the breast. We sit the patient up in the operating room, while asleep of course, and compare the sizer result with their desired look photos. If it is too small, we start the process over with a slightly larger implant. We don't stop until we get the perfect match.Of all of my breast augmentation patients, every one of them has been happy with their size due to this detailed and meticulous process. You don't want to invest time and money into a result that is either too big or too small. You should discuss your concerns with a board-certified plastic surgeon and make sure that your surgeon understands your goals. Answer: Downsizing or implant removal? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. If you elect to remove your implants your skin is of such good quality it will likely return to nearly what you had prior to surgery. Hope this helps.
