Thank you for your question and pictures! In today's day and age, there are many surgical and nonsurgical options to address various concerns one has for their face as they age. With the pictures that you have provided, injectable fillers and Botox can help give you a smoother look, depending on your anatomy. In general, surgery is one of the best ways to address jowls. However, skin tightening and all sorts of injectables can definitely help significantly especially for patients that are not interested in surgery. If you're ever interested in surgery, the procedure is much different than what you're probably reading about online. A short scar facelift that addresses the jowls & marionette lines can typically be done under local anesthesia in the office, usually in as little as 20 to 30 minutes. There are usually no drains, recovery is quick, and most patients take no narcotics.I would recommend that you see a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area that is a member of both ASPS & ASAPS and performs a lot of facelifts but also offers all the nonsurgical options such as injectables and laser treatments. Go over your concerns with them and make sure above all, you walk out of there with several options and never be pushed out with just one suggestion. Ultimately there are pros and cons to every procedure whether it's surgery or not surgery. It should always be your choice. I have had 80-year-old patients be very happy without having had any surgical procedures.I hope this helps and wish you all the best in your surgery and event. I would start with a rigorous skin care program and filler in preparation for skin resurfacing with a deep peel.
Thanks for your question! There are ways to improve them but not necessarily make them go away permanently. I would suggest starting with fillers or fat grafting and laser resurfacing. Good luck!
Based on this photo, it is time to do something with your M lines! It can be as simple as injection of filler or "smile surgery" on the corner of the mouth, which will eliminate these lines permanently. Dermabrasion of the peri-oral area (encircled), fillers and fat grafts are also available options for correction of wrinkles and lip volume loss. In person consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon, familiar with this problem, is recommended. Good luck.
Thanks for your question. Typically folds and wrinkles, regardless of depth, do not cause yeast infections. I would recommend you see a board-certified dermatologist to get that condition resolved prior to seeking the many options to address the perioral area. For example, one of the more common treatments is skin resurfacing with either a laser or a chemical but if the yeast infection is not resolved prior to this treatment a disaster will occur. Good luck.
There is a oricedure call direct nasolabial fold excision. This will eliminate the deep crevice that is giving you problems
Good Morning! Deep marionettes can be challenging. Filler would be one option. Hyaluronic acid fillers help to restore volume and reduce the depth of these areas. Options would be Juvederm or Restalyne. Fat transfer provides a longer solution on the average of 5-10 years. The results can be quite nice and natural. A facelift would assist with tightening this area to a more significant degree. The involvement and recovery are more involved, but the results are more dramatic. Hope this helps you!
Inside the circle, you present two situations. One is the lines colloquially called Barcodes and the commissural or Puppet lines. The first ones improve drastically with microdermabrasion, and the second ones are definitely a product of the flaccidity present in the lower third of your face, therefore the facelift is the direct and real solution.
The Marionette lines along the corners of the mouth are problematic in that they attract moisture from the corners of the mouth and the deep folds retain that moisture making a perfect environment for yeast. Treatments include fillers injected into the subdermal and superficial subcutaneous plane to fill them in. Given the depth of the folds in your case, facelift would help to treat the jowl area and help to retract some of the excess skin in that area as well. The best treatment would be a combination of the two.
Thank you for your question and photo. Since you’re young and don’t show significant signs of aging, a combination of non-surgical treatment options may help you achieve your aesthetic goals. Dermal fillers are an excellent way to balance facial features and restore volume to shallow con...
Its difficult to tell from this picture, but there seems to be nothing that further surgery can do to alleviate your pain. At this point, make sure nothing else can be done by consulting with your surgeon, then you might want to see a pain specialist to see if any long term medication can be...
Hi there. I believe the third set of your photos are your postoperative photos? If so, it does seem to be a very mild pixie ear deformity. I wouldn’t call it a classic case of pixie ear deformity. These can be corrected with a minor procedure performed under local anesthesia, removing a wedge o...
