Hello, and thank you for your question. I think what is best to focus on is whether you truly need a facelift in the first place. Although a facelift is an excellent way to turn back the clock on your appearance, it is not for everyone. You are a candidate for a facelift procedure if you are in good physical and mental health and are looking to restore your facial appearance to address signs of aging like deep wrinkles and sagging skin. Based on your photos, you don’t seem to have prominent signs of aging in the lower face. You may benefit from nonsurgical procedures for skin rejuvenation such as lasers, injectables, or RF microneedling (Profound RF). These treatments do a great job at boosting collagen production, resulting in tighter, younger-looking skin. The best way to determine the right procedure for you is to schedule an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon. Your surgeon can assess your skin quality and facial profile, recommend the best treatment or combination of treatments, and ensure the best possible results.
Unfortunately, it is impossible to give you meaningful advise without in person evaluation or series of good photos. Only on the basis of in person consultation, a board certified plastic surgeon could make decision whether neck or lower/face neck lift would be a better solution in your case. Decision should be based on presentation rather than your age. Good luck.
Thanks for your question! It doesn't appear as though you need a facelift at this age and stage. If you are looking for tightening, some lasers and RF technologies might be better suited for you. Good luck!
I would need to see more of the face to determine if you are a good candidate for a facelift at your age. Facelift helps the neck and jowls not so much the area you show.
Good Morning,I think a better question to be asking is whether surgical intervention is necessary at age 40. The photo provided does not offer great insight but it wouldn't appear that you are at the stage where a full or mini facelift is completely necessary. We as surgeons would prefer to treat non-surgically because of the inherent risks associated with surgical intervention. If you were to proceed with a facelift as such a young age one thing I would advise you is that you will likely see more loss of skin laxity as you naturally age and will likely be wanting a facelift again 10-15 years down the road, which is not the recommended course of treatment. Good Luck in your journeyMark F Blake, MD
Great I think most people can have surgery soon at 40s. it’s OK if they feel that they have sagging in her cheeks and Jowl‘s in the face. Some people will need surgery around the 40s and some people will need a surgery around 50s or 60s. It deppends on the shape of the face and the speed of the aging process
Getting a facelift at age 40 has both potential benefits and drawbacks. Some potential cons include: 1. Cost: Facelifts can be expensive, and at age 40, you may require additional procedures in the future, which can add to the overall cost. 2. Surgical Risks: Any surgery carries risks, such as infection, scarring, or adverse reactions to anesthesia.3. Unrealistic Expectations: It’s important to have realistic expectations about the results. A facelift can make you look more youthful, but it won’t stop the aging process.4. Recovery Time: Recovery can take weeks, and it may impact your daily life and work.5. Longevity: Results are not permanent, and you may need touch-up procedures as you age.6. Psychological Factors: Consider the psychological impact of altering your appearance. Make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons and that it won’t negatively affect your self-esteem.Discuss your specific situation and goals with a board-certified plastic surgeon to make an informed decision.

Hello, and thank you for your question. What you want to avoid are those skin-only lifts that focus solely on removing excess skin without repositioning the underlying tissue and muscle. This approach provides minimal improvement that doesn’t last for the long term, and most surgeons do not r...
