Is it safe to do high frequency after Botox? (photos)

Question

I often do high frequency & oxygen treatments on my face at the spa. I do this every 2-3 days. I'm wondering if it's safe to do high frequency after Botox since now I just realized that high frequency involves heat? And if so, what is the window frame of time post-Botox to do high frequency? 24 hours or 48 hours? Thanks!

Hi Weiwei.  Any facial treatment is usually not recommended for about 4 hours after Botox and 1 week after dermal fillers.  This gives you time for the products to settle.  For before and after photos of our San Gabriel, CA injection patients, click on the link below.

I often do botox on the same day as doing other lasers and RF treatments. There should be no risk as long as the botox is done after the other treatments.  Best, Dr. Emer.

I do not recommend any type of facial manipulation for 4 hours after Botox injections. After this time I consider that is safe to have facials or any type of therapy to the face.Hope this helps,Dr. Gus Diaz

Thank you for your question. We checked with Allergan the company that manufactures Botox and they said, drinking alcohol after Botox should not affect the Botox.  I hope you find this helpful.
