I had buccal fat removal about two years ago to try to correct asymmetry but it didn’t seem to do much. I’m looking into Invisalign and x-rays show my lower jaw being higher on the right side. Aside from the oral surgery option to improve jaw alignment, could I have Botox injected so that one eye doesn’t appear raised/smaller when I smile? Or a different procedure? Where do I ask the nurse practitioner to place it? Happy to go anywhere in the Bay Area.
Answer: How to create facial symmetry: Understand your treatment options Thank you for your question. Botox Cosmetic may be a good option for improving your facial symmetry. This injectable treatment works by relaxing the muscles in the face that contract when performing certain movements, such as smiling. Relaxing the muscles on the right side of your face may help to balance your smile and create a more symmetrical appearance. I recommend that you schedule an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon who can assess your needs and help you select the best treatment option.

Answer: Eyebrow and eye asymmetry In looking at your pictures, it does appear that the Rt eyebrow is slightly lower than the left side. You can consider using Botox to raise the Rt eyebrow so it would match better to the left side. In the case of the Rt eye being smaller than the left, you can consider Upneeq eye drops that can be placed to the Rt eye which can temporarily work on the muscle of the eye to help open the eyelid to make it look more open and more symmetric to the left side.

Answer: Botox Thank you for your question! Placing a very small amount of botox above your left brow can drop the brow positioning some so it isn't as raised. You can also try placing botox below your right brow to try and lift that brow more and open the eye. If you are going to an experienced injector they will be able to try and create some more symmetry for your with botox but keep in mind, everyone has a little bit of asymmetry and that is normal! You will never get to be completely symmetrical but it is worth a shot! Hope this helps.
