Hello, I had breast augmentation 3 years ago in 2021. Recently, I noticed that my right breast is not as good as before. There is a line or crease on my right breast. I don't know what this is, please look at the photos. Is this a problem related to the breast implant or a problem with the breast pathology. I look forward to receiving answers from experts. Thank you.

Answer: Breast implant assessment It’s a little bit difficult to make an assessment from the information included. It’s really important that you document if the pictures are taken using a mirror since that will reverse the image. It should make it very clear if you’re talking about your right side or the right side in the picture. To make a quality assessment, we need quality information. Generally, this means having access to quality before and after pictures and an examination. I generally recommend people avoid virtual consultations and instead schedule in person consultations. Perhaps your pocket has opened up and the implant has dropped slightly in the middle while the lateral aspect has not opened up. Perhaps this is related to the shape of the pocket from the initial procedure. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with your breast, but I also don’t think anyone can make a really high-quality assessment without having really high-quality information. Follow up with your provider if he or she is available. If your breast bother you enough to see your plastic surgeon, then see them or consider scheduling a second opinion consultation with another provider if yours is not available or doesn’t give you a Sufficient explanation.Best, Mats Hagstrom MD
