Are BBL fat grafts permanent? Should booty grow with weight gain? (Photo)

Question

Doesn’t the fat that is graftin grow when you gain weight? Just an observation i was 140lbs preop a year ago. Now im around 154, shouldnt my booty get bigger and not smaller? I did air sculpt bbl (total waste of money) although my results were good im going for a round 2 this time going to Colombia but was wondering why my booty is looking smaller then it did 6 months post op?

Hello @SF101, thank you for your question. Depending on the surgical technique and approach the fat that would surviver could be 80% more or less. It is important, however, to carefully examine every case, to have a consultation, and to consider factors such as body features, age, needs, and expectations. Thanks for your question. Weight loss, weight gain and exercise do affect BBL results. The fat transferred to your buttocks is affected in the same manner as when you normally lose weight or gain weight or exercise. Hope this helps. And yes your buttocks should be growing after you gain weight but air sculpt bbl technique is not as the conventional BBL procedures and the results can be different and also the amount of fat transferred is was not too much your buttocks area will not be growing as you are looking for. Not too much fat transferred, means not a vixen butt.

Both Liposuction and fat transfer will permanently change your fat distribution.
Weight gain or weight loss will follow your new fat distribution.
The amount of fat that survives long-term it’s often not as much as people had hoped or anticipated. this is not all that unusual.
That said, the approach and success of grafting fat does vary substantially from provider to provider.
Based on your pictures your results look excellent and I question the need for a second BBL.
I also don’t recommend people travel long distances for elective surgical procedures.
The importance of having multiple in person consultations, the need for a proper follow up, the number of patients who have concerns after surgery, that complications actually happen cannot be overstated.
