When you get Liposuction does the doctor cut the extra skin off?

Liposuction alone does not involve removing skin. Small incisions are made and fat is removed with a suction technique. Liposuction is often combined with other techniques when contouring parts of the body including techniques that remove skin. For example, sometimes skin is removed in a mini tummy tuck along with liposuction performed.

Liposuction removes fat, but skin issues will require additional procedures.  I would search for the surgeon who you feel is most likely to give you

Liposuction is used to contour areas of the body that are out of proportion to the surrounding tissues. It only removes fat, and does not remove excess skin. Liposuction requires good skin quality to work properly. After the fat is removed the overlying skin should be elastic enough to rebound and contract. If the skin has poor quality, then removing the fat beneath it can leave the skin looking more loose or uneven. Not everyone is a good candidate for liposuction.There are situations when liposuction is added to other surgical procedures. One example would be a tummy tuck. A tummy tuck places an incision on the abdomen and removes excess skin. In this situation surgeons often perform additional liposuction of the tummy and flanks.Standard liposuction does not involve skin removal.

The best results from liposuction come from properly selected patients. Liposuction can aggravate surplus skin.

Liposuction sucks out extra fat. That's all it does. Removing loose skin is an entirely different procedure and is not included in liposuction.
