What brand of compression garment should I buy?

Question

I'm having lipo of my abs, flanks, love handle of lower back. I want some that are longer that I can wear under jeans and some with no leg coverage for shorts. I'm going to PR in March.

Thanks for the inquiry.  Most surgeons will be able suggest a good compression garment based on their experience about its quality, comfort, durability and price.  Your surgeon likely already has a garment selected since they have to fit your dimensions, so I'd suggest you just check with him or her.

There's no evidence that garments of any kind make a difference long-term liposuction. We have a company that supplies us with garments although any elastic garment that offers general pressure and is user-friendly is okay in my practice.

There are several companies that produce compression garments.  Some surgeons have preferences with regards to which companies they prefer.  You should ask your plastic surgeon well in advance of your surgery which company they use.  Good luck.

Most surgeons will provide you with their garment of choice. I usually have patients wear our garment for 1-2 weeks and after that if they like they switch to Spanks.

I do believe in compression garments after liposuction, to reduce edema, prevent fluid accumulation in the liposuction tracks, and increase smoothness of the skin.  I prefer those made by Medical-Z, in San Antonio , TX.  They are comfortable, affordable,and durable

Compression garments are a little tricky to choose.  At every surgery a surgeon needs to have three sizes of the likely garment you will need.   Compression garments are absolutely the responsibility of the surgeon to select and provide.   The surgeon will charge you for the garments of course.   This is a critical decision and selection takes profession frame of reference.   You should not be out hunting for garments until  you are a month after surgery,   Then you can go to Nordstroms or  a similar store and select off the rack sizes of the various garments.
