What are the risks or downside of having folds in your cornea post LASIK?

I had LASIK 4 days ago, at the next-day follow up a doctor said I had 2 significant creases/folds in the peripheral of my cornea. He said it’s not a major concern & it’s unlikely they need to correct unless it affects my sight. He said that it can be evaluated at my 1 week check up. Do these folds present any risk to my eye/vision? Will waiting a week have adverse consequences should they choose to fix it? If they don’t fix it will it complicate any future LASIK touch ups or wearing of contacts?
