Preservative or non-preservative drops, 1 week post LASIK, is there a difference?

Hi I have been using non-preservative free eye drops (the REFRESH brand) for about 1 week now. I had my LASIK procedure about 1 week ago. Does it matter if I use these as opposed to the preservative-free ones? What can happen if I use the non-preservative free ones?

I highly discourage eye rubbing so early in your healing process. The flaps are most fragile immediately after the procedure. If your eyes feel gritty or itchy, it is most likely dry. I would use preservative free tears every two hours to improve your comfort. If the flap is dislodged, you ma...

Very gentle cleaning with a wet washcloth is fine. The key is insuring that your eyes stay closed when cleaning. Eye rubbers (esp the intense ones) tend to stretch and pull the lids open while rubbing, which can lead to injury. I recommend that all patients buy commercially available eyelid...

If glasses without prism correct the mis-alignment between eye ( crossing your squint) then lens surgery with presbyopic correction might get rid of glasses. If you still need prism or if you see double with contacts only then probably not. It still may be worth it to you to only wear prism...
