Post LASIK: Why do my eyes hurt whenever I wake up in the morning?

I did lasik eye surgery 6 months ago. I still feel pain whenever I wake up in the morning, and difficult to open. Also, some nights tears will fall down. But after like 30 minutes or an hour, the pain goes away. I’m just concerned if I should do anything about it or is it just normal?

Your pain when you wake up is most likely dryness. Some people make too few tears while they are sleeping, and in others the eyes open just a crack while they are sleeping. Either way this can result in dryness and pain when you wake up. The treatment is to put in a thick moisturizing ointment before you close your eyes to go to sleep. You will wake up with a much more comfortable eye.
