Microneedling 1 month ago for traumatic scar in my face, I do not see any result at all. What is the best procedure?

micro needling is also called collagen induced therapy , what kind of collagen will be built in my skin after this procedure and how long the new collagen will last ?? if the life of the collagen is 10 years I assume each 10 years I will have to do the same procedure to create new collagen in my skin for another 10 years ?? please advise ?

A combination approach will give the most improvement. Scars need a combination of microneedling with prp, lasers, Cosmelan, subcision and fillers. It will take a series of treatments and will need some treatments to maintain. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with an acne scarring expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Microneedling is a good treatment for scars. Usually one needs 3-6 sessions performed three weeks apart. Best results are achieved when PRP is used with microneedling. It takes 6-8 weeks for a new collagen fiber to come to the skin surface. Collagen is not produced every ten years rather every day. If you had only one microneedling treatment it will be very difficult to appreciate results yet.
