I like my butt but would like a more prominent gluteal fold. Mine does not go all the way around the cheeks. Is there any surgical procedures to deepen or make the fold longer?
Answer: Gluteal fold The gluteal fold, also known as the infragluteal crease or the gluteal sulcus, is a natural anatomical feature that varies among individuals. If you are seeking to alter the appearance of the gluteal fold, it's important to consult with a qualified plastic surgeon who can assess your specific anatomy and discuss the available options. Surgical procedures to modify the gluteal fold are not as common as procedures for augmentation or lifting, but there are certain techniques that may be considered: Gluteal Fold Release Surgery: Procedure: This surgical procedure involves releasing or lengthening the tissues along the gluteal fold. Results: The fold may appear longer or deeper after the procedure. Considerations: This is a specialized procedure, and not all plastic surgeons may offer it. It is essential to have a thorough consultation with a qualified surgeon to discuss expectations and potential risks. Gluteal Implants: Procedure: While gluteal implants are typically used for augmentation, they may influence the appearance of the gluteal fold by adding volume. Results: Implants can create a fuller and more rounded appearance, potentially affecting the overall contour of the buttocks. Considerations: Gluteal implants come in various shapes and sizes, and the placement of the implants can influence the appearance of the fold. Combination Procedures: Procedure: In some cases, surgeons may perform a combination of procedures, such as a gluteal fold release along with other techniques to enhance the overall shape of the buttocks. Results: The combination of procedures can be tailored to achieve the desired aesthetic outcome. Considerations: Individual anatomy and goals will play a significant role in determining the most appropriate approach. It's crucial to emphasize that any surgical procedure carries risks, and the decision to undergo surgery should be made after careful consideration of the potential benefits and drawbacks. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon with experience in buttock enhancement procedures to explore your options, discuss your goals, and receive personalized recommendations based on your anatomy and preferences.

Answer: Creating a gluteal fold Depending upon your exact anotomy, surgical options do exist. However, always best to be very conservative in this areas to avoid making things worse instead of better. A physical exam is the next necessary step to determining your best option. Glad to help.

Answer: Gluteal fold Normal youthful gluteal fold goes across only one third to one half the distance. A full line gluteal fold will give the appearance of saggy drooping buttocks. Standards of beauty well established.
