64 yrs old. Surgeon told me that brachioplasty wouldn't help because the scarring may be ropey/red. Hernia repair 11/17 and this is how it healed. Surgeon doesn't want to take a chance. Runner-32yrs, lift 27yrs, bootcamp 3x weekworkout 6x wk. Have extremely flabby, creppy skin all over body. I value this Surgeon's opinion. Is there something else, like BodyTite? Don't want to waste my $ on lotions, potions procedures that promise but don't deliver or do even more damage. Any thoughts?
Answer: Q:Would BodyTite help for flabby, crepey skin? (photos) I have tried a lot of machines over the years, but I do think that there is merit to this device, which appears to have better skin tightening and much less possibility for burns. BodyTite does not remove any fat, but it is capable of producing a 45% contraction in tissues. It can be combined with liposuction to improve contours dramatically. Consult with a board certified PS who is an expert in using BodyTite.

Answer: Crepey skin on the arms can be treated by doing Morpheus8 treatments in combination with Melapeels. Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Realself100 Surgeon

Answer: Skin tightening for the arms with VASER HI DEF 4D Liposculpture, ThermiRF, fat grafting and arm lift, J plasma, Renuvion, Inmode Nonsurgical options give only mild improvement compared to surgical lifting. Skin tightening can be done with a combination of Vanquish, truSculpt iD, Venus Legacy, Exilis, and Cellutone/Zwave. However for best results, an arm lifting procedure can be combined with a high definition procedure at the same time. I recommend a hi definition procedure like VASER liposuction. I use VASER HI DEF with ThermiRF and fat grafting to get the most fat removal, skin tightening, contour and definition. This combination will give you the most toned result. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a hi definition physique expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: BodyTite with Morpheus8 To address loose and crepey skin I often recommend a combination of BodyTite and Morpheus8 Radiofrequency Microneedling. A brachioplasty is considered the gold standard for taking care of loose skin in the arm area, however many patients do not desire the scarring or downtime that it entails. In the arm area, even on fit patients there can be a small amount of fat beneath the skin that drags it down as well to contribute to the sagging look or skin texture, so liposuction combined with the skin tightening procedures may be the most effective option, but this would need to be determined in person. If there is little to no fat in the area, pursuing BodyTite to the arms along with at least 3 treatments of Morpehus8 could give you a significant improvement. Please consult with a board certified plastic surgeon to be evaluated in person and to discuss these ideas further.
