I had a couple of surgeries for ovarian cancer one in 2003 and one in 2013 and I think both of them left some surgical clips in there would this make it dangerous in some way for me to get radio frequency assisted liposuction?

Answer: Body Tite Thank you for your questions and photo. Body Tite is a system that uses radiofrequency to stimulate collagen production, thus shrink wrapping the tissues. This procedure is commonly done with liposuction at the same time. In general, the Body Tite system will improve tissue tightening by about 30%. Because it relies on your own body to make collagen, it can take a while to see your final results. Your previous surgeries should not be affected as the Body Tite works in a plane that is much more superficial than where your staples are. In our office we offer 3D imaging to give our patients an accurate idea of what their final result will look like. Good luck! SHOW LESS

Answer: Surgical clips and bodytite The surgical clips left in the abdominal cavity should not interfere in any way, shape or form with the radio frequency procedure. You should however speak to a plastic surgeon who utilizes j-plasma technology in addition to body tight because in many cases j-plasma is more effective. I hope this helps and good luck from New York City
