This is a normal reaction that can happen post Ultherapy. This typically occurs with the most superficial 1.5 mm transducer. These marks can last anywhere from a few hours to a week and will resolve. Temporary side effects of Ultherapy are flushed skin, swelling, tingling and tenderness. Although uncommon, temporary mild bruising and numbness are possible. In order to maximize the positive inflammatory response created by Ultherapy avoid the use of anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, naproxen and Celebrex for 1 month following the procedure. This inflammatory response is necessary to allow your body to stimulate collagen fiber formation and modeling. To maintain and maximize the results, I recommend a prescription strength skin care regimen. Medical grade skin care products stimulate collagen production from the outside- in, which can potentiate the effects of your Ultherapy treatment.
Sometimes when the most superficial 1.5mm transducer is used it can cause welting similar to your picture. We have not had this happen on the face, but I have seen others with it. It should get better in a few days. If it doesn't then you need to follow up with whoever did your treatment.

Thank you for your thoughtful question. It could, theoretically, but it would be an off label use of this device. Ultherapy is not FDA cleared for this indication. Read the Ultherapy book on the link below. Best,Dr Karamanoukian
Ultherapy treatments should not have any affect on your dental implants. It can be said, however, that you may experience a temporary increase in sensitivity when receiving the ultrasound directly over the implants. Be sure to notify your Ultherapist for the best possible treatment.
Not sure why you would even want to do Ulthera if you plan to keep that much facial hair. You have a very thin face and would probably benefit more from filling than Ulthera.
Ultherapy works by heating collagen in and under the skin. Heating collagen "shrinks" collagen and results in lifting. It is FDA approved for lifting the brow, lifting the jaw and has been used "off label" to lift the breasts, the knees, the elbows and even the buttocks. There is...
