There are very few studies on lupus activation and lasers, radiofrequency, and ultrasound treatments. I have been using lasers to treat discount lupus for many years without activation from pulsed dye, RF, ultrasound, and ablative co2 laser. However, I have not done many of these treatments on systemic lupus. Although, activation should only be with UV radiation not laser/IR, RF, or ultrasound treatments. Find a laser expert for treatment/evaluation. Best, Dr. Emer.

You should coordinate any treatment with your Rheumatologist as well.
