Yes you can definitely use hydralonic acid underneath the moisturizer after IPL. IPL works at a cellular level so continuing hydralonic and moisturizer will do no harm
Since hyaluronic acid has the potential to irritate some skin types, I would check with the doctor that performed your procedure. As a general rule, it’s always best to follow post-treatment instructions from your doctor carefully to ensure an optimal outcome from your procedure.
Typically it is not an issue to implement HA into your skin care regimen post IPL. However, I recommend getting a post-care plan tailored to your skin for your post IPL skin care regimen. Best, Dr. Emer.
We advise our patients who had a photo facial, IPL, fraxel, or the newest non ablative fractional laser, Frax 1550, that using a high quality moisturizer with sunblock is important for reducing irritation after treatment. In general, the use of hyaluronic acid immediately after these minimally invasive procedures can cause some irritation in more sensitive skin types. The best advice is to ask your physician because he or she will know how deep the treatment was and know your skin type best.
Depending on how aggressive your IPL was, you may want to hold off from putting anything that could be an irritant for 2-3 days.Hope this helpsSincerely Michael Kulick MDSan Francisco, Ca
