Will IPL dissolve filler, particularly Restaylne that is in tear trough?

You will be perfectly fine with getting an IPL after filler. The energy from the IPL will have no effect on filler. Great job with choosing fall/winter time to begin your IPL treatments--it's the perfect time of year as there is less exposure to sunlight.

IPL treatments will not have any impact on your dermal filler. In fact, these treatments can produce excellent results when performed in combination. Make sure the doctor you work with is board certified with extensive training in both injectable treatments and IPL devices to ensure both your treatments are both safe and successful.

I would suggest doing the laser treatment on a different day than your injectibles. Laser treatments, like IPL, are best done in the fall and winter when you will have minimum sun exposure. Don't forget to wear a physical sunscreen after your treatment! 

Thank you for your message! The IPL sessions will not effect your filler treatments! I would not perform them the same day however the heat from the IPL will have no effect on the filler. Doing IPL is a great option in the Fall/Winter as we typically like patients at their lightest skin color and out of the sun after the procedure! 

No, IPL will not dissolve the filler. I prefer to use Restylane when treating the tear troughs and Restylane Lyft or Sculptra when treating the midface/cheeks. 

The simple answer is NO, IPL cannot melt filler. In fact, I often use the IPL right after filler in the tear trough to treat bruising that can occur from the injections. For patients who are wanting IPL and filler, same day treatment is a great option for that reason too!
