19 days after my breast augmentation and my incisions don’t look like they're healing, what can I do? (photos)

Based on the photos you have provided, it is difficult to determine the depth of the open wound, however it is not normal for a standard breast augmentation incision to discharge "pus" or "ooze". I highly recommend having your plastic surgeon follow-up with you in person to determine if there is an infection. Best of luck!

Hello,It is not normal for simple inframammary incisions to ooze or be open. Although there appears to be no tension on the skin, a common reason they would ooze or open, they don't look normal. I'm concerned about the status of the implant, and would likely put you on antibiotics after culturing your wounds. Best of luck.

Dear Hanna0218,I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment. Only after thorough examination you can get proper recommendations and advice.

and even more concerning when an implant is under that.  Yet, if your surgeon closed in layers, then there is protection to the implant.  Photos suggest closure was not everting  skin edges or there was a lot of thermal injury to the skin edges.  Its good you are in contact with your surgeon and if something is amiss, your surgeon will pick on that.

From your photos, I see the delayed healing but cannot guess the depth of these open wounds. As there is drainage from the wounds which you describe as pus, it is imperative that you undergo evaluation by your plastic surgeon to determine its severity. Is there infection? Is there implant exposure? This may prove to be a superficial opening which will heal uneventfully....but you must be sure.
