Hello, I have had a variety of symptoms over a course of a few years . I have had my silicone implants for over 12+. i have had symptoms such as allergies, dry itchy eyes, GI issues, heart palp, bleeding gums, heart racing, hormonal changes, neck pain.. My test come back normal, We found that i had low iron due to heavy periods but have since started to come up. Can low iron be a sign of silcone toxicty? or rupture or BII?
Answer: Silent Silicone Rupture I would go see a board-certified plastic surgeon (with 6 year integrated plastic surgery training and 1 year The Aesthetic Society accredited fellowship). We have the capability to perform ultrasound in the office to evaluate the integrity of the breast implant.

Answer: Iron No, low iron is an indication of anemia, most causes, or lack of sufficient iron in your diet. It does not indicate an implant rupture. You might be checked for food allergies. An ultrasound or mammogram can check your implants for rupture.

Answer: Low iron Low iron is not a symptom associated with implant rupture. If you feel your implants may be ruptured I encourage you to visit your surgeon for an evaluation. Further testing such as an MRI can detect rupture in silicone implants. I've included a video I hope you find helpful.

Answer: Silent silicone rupture Dear Blking5098, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what is wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Ruptured Silicone gel implants don't cause human disease BII, now known as Systemic Symptoms from Breast Implants (SSBI), is not a disease; its variability in presentation, with no known mechanism of action, prevent the International Congress of Medicine from giving it a classification in the manual for disease classification ICD-11. Like everyone else who thinks their implants are causing symptoms despite normal medical tests, you've been gaslighted by activist whose sole purpose is to get women to remove their implants. Strict prospective trials have shown that it's not: silicone, heavy metals, bacteria, endotoxins, or abnormal immune chemicals (interleukins). Further, the same material in breast implants are also in other chronic indwelling devices with no such issue: testicular implants, facial implants, finger joint implants, internal shunts, or catheters. Your low iron is probably due to heavy menstrual cycles. But what it definitely is not due to is your breast implants.
