Is it better to have lip filler dissolved, or wait to dissolve on its own?

Unfortunately without pictures it is not possible to give you a specific answer.
In aesthetic medicine, complications could happen but the most important is how to prevent/reduce or correct them e.g. dissolve the filler (if required) and re-filled them.
This procedure should be performed by a doctor expert in derma fillers and complications.

Every invasive procedure leads to inflammatory response culminating in collagen stimulation/scar formation. Overfilling, in my opinion, is a failed procedure in addition to unaesthetic outcome. Use of hyaluronidase can be a measured intervention without dissolving the entire volume of your filler. It requires not only your patience but, more importantly, your injector's willingness to save some filler. The migration is rare and unpredictable regardless of the technique. Overfilling, however, is always predictable and avoidable. Therefore, the correction of the latter should be at no cost to you

Choosing between lip filler metabolizing on its own over time or dissolving it is a personal decision. Lip filler typically lasts about 6 months. If your look is unacceptable to you and you do not want to wait this time, then dissolving it may be a better choice for you. If it's not too noticeable you can consider letting time resolve your issue.
