In doing my research for getting breast implants and choosing between the different types, it seems as though allergan is the most popular but I’ve looked at the data myself online and it shows that mentor and sientra have much lower capsular contracture rates at about 8-9% while allergan implants have 18%. Is this true? Does that mean that choosing allergan implants has double the risk for capsular contracture? Please help me assess this data!

I'm pretty sure you are talking about silicone implants. The differences in profiles can be very subtle. A board-certified plastic surgeon would be able to educate you about these differences. The profile may be less important than how cohesive the silicone fill is.
